About Delhi Police SI Exam

Delhi Police is one of the largest metropolitan police force in the world with a manpower strength of more than 80,000 personnel - but it had a humble origin as a segment of Punjab Police. It is the main law and order agency for the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT).

Delhi Police is divided into 12 branches under the Commissioner of Police. The main four among the branches are: Administration, Training, Security & Armed Police and Intelligence. In addition to the four Special Commissioner of Police (C.P), there are 8 Joint Commissioners of Police.

All India exam for Delhi Police SI (Sub-Inspector) is taken by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) as per the vacancies advertised by Delhi Police.

Note: There is no vacancy for the post of woman SI (executive) in Delhi Police for direct recruitment.
